Scotland's South West Coast

Not far offshore is a small round rocky island called Ailsa Craig. It is the remains of a volcanic plug from an extinct volcano. Its claim to fame is that blue hone granite was quarried there to make the curling stones used by Scotland's Winter Olympic Games team.
